The principal seat of the Le Fleming family for many centuries was Rydal Hall, in the English Lake District. Many members of the family make a pilgrimage to the Hall in search of their roots or to search out what they can of their ancestors and their influence in the village of Rydal and across the county of Cumbria.

After having gained land in Cumberland, the Le Fleming family settled in the village of Rydal in the 15th Century. Since then the family has been linked to Rydal Hall and was a great influence in the whole of Cumbria.
